On this page, we aim to provide answers to everyday questions that arise regarding our service and our products – please contact us if you have a query which is not answered below.

How will my purchase arrive?

Most items sent by us will comes directly from our main office in Leicestershire and will be sent either in a wrapped box or bag by Royal Mail Tracked 48 delivery. International delivery can vary - but will always be a tracked service. However, many of our products are made to order and may come individually from offices located within other parts of the UK. Whilst we endeavour to make sure all your purchase arrive together, this is not always possible but please be assured that they will all arrive.

I have only been charged part of my total order, why not all of it?

This applies only to orders placed by telephone or through the post – we only charge a customers card once an item is dispatched so if items are posted individually then these are charged on the date of dispatch. All internet orders are charged on the date of the order.

I want to leave instructions for my parcel to be left somewhere as I may not be at home when it is delivered, can I do this?

All our deliveries are made through Royal Mail within the UK by a tracked service, either Royal Mail Tracked 48 or Special Delivery. Unfortunately, this precludes any special instructions being given such as ‘leave in the outhouse’ as this would be open to abuse and loss of the product.

I have paid for Special Delivery - my order has not been dispatched yet.

We attempt to dispatch all orders (regardless of delivery method) in a timely manner. Some items can be made to order (usually nightdresses) - this can cause a slight delay. The delivery method will still be via Special Delivery if this has been selected at the checkout.

Do I have to wash my kaftan/nightdress or have it dry cleaned?

Most of our cotton kaftans can be washed using cool settings, please refer to the care instructions that come with the garment. We would advise that silk and silk/velvet kaftans are dry cleaned.

VAT and Brexit?

Prices shown on our website include VAT - which should be removed at checkout if you are shipping outside the UK. Import and other local taxes (e.g. VAT) may be payable to your local/national authority either before or upon receipt of your order - this applies to the EU and the Rest of the World.
